Alma College is in the process of evaluating the online learning tool Moodle--short for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment--as a possible alternative to Blackboard. During the Winter 2005 Semester, both Blackboard and Moodle will be in place, and your instructors may choose to use either system.

To log in, simply use your Alma College email username and password. Once logged in, you should see a list of all your current classes. If you experience problems logging in or have other technical problems while using Moodle, please contact the Help Desk at 7303.

Attention Mac users: The Moodle editor for composing messages (including bold, italic, fonts, color, etc) works only with Firefox and Mozilla browsers. The Mac Safari browser will let you compose messages but doesn't give you all the features. Microsoft's Internet Explorer also doesn't work properly and is no longer an up-to-date Mac browser; you should find an alternative.

You can download the latest version of Firefox here.
